sorry for the crappy cell phone picture
Last year at the 2010 PacNW Supra Nationals
I believe my engine bay deserves to be in this thread finally
This year near (stuck in the shop in the area of the meet) the 2011 PacNW Supra Nationals
Thanks. It's been a massive project but will be worth it. It's a shame we ran out of time and money to get it ready for the meet this weekend but it's all good, shit happens. Atleast I'll be better prepared and improved next year.
Ok folks, the time has finally come to reveal what I have been up to for the last 6 months. Beginning in late January Bill Bowering (owner of Indepenent Speed Shop in Langley, B.C.) got the green light to do a full rebuild on my Supra's engine bay. Here's the list of what all is I had done to...
Well this morning was interesting. After the 3rd year med student did a quick check of a few things she went into the hall to get the surgeon. With the door shut I could hear the surgeon yelling because of how pissed off she was that my testing and surgery time and such has taken so long. She...
Spiller, the contrast injection tastes like ass. But the radioactive iodine they injected me with didn't have any side effects other than me having some fun when I crossed back into the USA the following day.
I just scheduled my surgery consultation to have my thyroid and tumor removed for...
Thanks all. It's getting harder to breath and I've started snoring again. In fact, the other night I took a nap in the hammock that's setup in the room next to the living room (partially separated by a wall, but has hallway like area connecting) and I was snoring so loud I drowned out one of...
Thank you all for the kind words. Unless they nick an artery I'll be fine. It's going to suck having to take pills daily for the rest of my life though, but I'll take pills over death any day.
Long story short, a couple months ago I found out I had a mass growing in my throat that was pushing on my wind pipe. Since then I've undergone several tests, the last of which was a thyroid scan (had to be injected with radioactive iodine). Got a call from my doctor today, the results of the...
If you don't have a spare tire like I do you can drill and tap the spare tire hold down for a screw in battery post terminal and then use a simple battery cable to ground it to the chassis. This is what I did and it not only looks really clean but works well.
I lived in a Home Owners Association (HOA) neighborhood 2 years ago and had a total prick of a neighbor down the street that I had to pass every time I left my house and came home (one way in and out). He was some asshole biker guy who drove a big ass lifted truck and was the type that would go...
The wiring isn't that bad, you just have to have patience. I promise, you won't regret going 1JZ, especially when it comes time to work on it (soooo much less stuff to deal with than on the 7M). BTW, when you getting rid of those rediculous wheels?
Can someone please remove that hideous ricer wing from the parts car? it's hurting me knowing that it exists on a MKIII (even if it is only a parts car).
I believe you're talking about the fiber resin. That's what I used to shave my emblem. Looking back I should have used a little of the flexible bondo as a top coat to blend it in better. On mine you can still see the outline a little (mind you I did the filling and am far from a professional).
Good point. I really haven't driven my Supra at all since I installed my ARZ setup. Once I get it back shortly though you can bet that I'll be driving it as much as possible.
I bought mine used from a fellow SM member and if you look at 2 of my shots you can see how the previous owner bead blasted my rotors to prevent rust. Does the e-coating work to prevent rust everywhere it is? I hope my caliper paint will work to prevent rust.
