Got the wastegate installed and the transmission bellhousing/drain plug/freeze plug installed. The real Tial 46mm WG is about 1/4" shorter than the DM knockoff. Here's pics of the trans and then pics of the DM wastegate on the left and the Tial wastegate on the right.
Do it! Most people, myself included, will be working on their Supra's down to the wire. As it stands my transmission is on the floor along with my exhaust and new wastegate.
I got a new freeze plug and drain plug from Toyota today and just got back from picking up my like-new race seats. I need new mounts for them but they're nearly perfect :)

Looks like I may have found a good condition used Tial wastegate for about half of what a new one goes for. And I got a call today that my transmission is ready to be picked up. If all goes as planned Wednesday I'll be picking up my trans, making a stop at Harbor Freight for some supplies...

I should have posted this on Wednesday but my replacement transmission is in the shop now getting rebuilt. I'm currently looking for a new Tial wastegate but am still trying to figure out which ones I can use (I have the DM 46mm Tial knockoff right now).
