I had a similar problem, turned out to be a kinked fuel line between the filter and the tank. If you removed the tank it could've done the same thing too if you didn't disconnect it before lowering it.

Ill get a shorter S belt and Ive made a bracket to were I can adjust the tension on the belt. If its not necessary I don't see a problem with it. Is their another use for the tensioner that I don't know about besides keeping tension on the S belt? Ive seen quite a few mkiv guys delete it...
