There is a pushrod that goes through the center of the input shaft that engages the spring.

So, I realize that there are not a ton of mk4 people on here... but I just wanted to throw this out there just in case.
So... next month, Shay and I are gonna take on a fun little project.... she currently has an automatic Supra and just bought almost everything to convert it to 5...
OKay.... I see you all give up. Toyotas have the flywheel bolted to the crank.... VWs have the flywheel on the trans side. Looking at the clutch "flywheel side" label... that would be installed backwards on a Toyota :D
Not to mention points for me for driving it in, doing the job, and driving it out all within reasonable time..... ;) I want to be a line tech so bad.....
