They have a weird Father son type of relationship Lol..
On the other note SupraFanatic AFM seem to be everywhere these days i would swap yours out and see if it fixes the problem if not then look elsewhere Can't be more simple then that.
And don't feel so bad because i don't...
That's pretty impressive for a stock clutch and PP
I thought for sure mine would have went by now but it's still taking the abuse and power like a champ
So yeah code 52 as i suspected doesn't mean you have rod knock Shaeff was kind enough to explain to me that it's just a short in the wiring or problem with the ecu or sensors
So I'm running a r154 with a new oem clutch and PP throw out bearing and machined flywheel I have about 4-5,000 hard miles on the setup.
I bought a new act 6puck disc and have been waiting for this one to fail on me but to my surprise its still holding.
I'm assuming I'm around 350-370whp...
Your right but i don't think i want to sell it. If i don't send a rod through the block i might build it on the side after i finish my first... Just in case. :)
Although if the knocking shows up while in load or even gets to the point where i know it's rod knock in every shape and form no...
That's kind of the plan :-) it will get me working on the other motor faster.
It was at 10.9 4-5k and 10.5 by redline. But it honestly still sounds great I have the timing at 8degrees
300 is a very possible and easy to make.
I drove my car tonight about 30min ago for the first time in 2days and it ran perfect no wired noises while driving still running pretty rich and at 17psi it felt so strong and fast definitely worth the heart ache this car causes :-)
Gorgeous
Quick side note question on CODE 52 will the code through if you have rod knock or is it just for a short circuit ? i've just been reading a bunch of post and i'm not 100 % sure on how this code works.
I always look at your part list Ian and in moments i'm left with my Jaw wide open. Would you happen to have a finished photo of the 7M
Just got my spare block and head out of storage today.
Going to start taking it apart soon and ordering rods/pistons and bearings in about 2 weeks it will be...
Not yet for now I'm just letting the car sit. Hopefully I will find the problem.
But I don't want to make it worse if it is rod knock.
It only happens some times and only at idle sounds like the engine is trying to stall out more then anything as soon as you give it a little throttle sounds fine.
As for code 32 its the hac sensor assuming you have a 7m-gte.
The TSRM says the trouble area is the ecu.
Do you have access to try a spare ecu ? The hac sensor I believe is located inside the ecu and I remember reading theres a mod people were doing but can't remember why.
