Yes it's just a oem gasket and headstuds really are not that much more expensive. Surface is surprisingly smooth. I'll prob take some acid tone to it after I heli coil the block.

So today I was finishing up a 7mgte head gasket job.
I used a tap to clean all the threads in the block and put in the head studs using a key nice and tight with the arp lube. Placed all the washers in place and continued to torque them down in order per tsrm.
Got them torqued to 75ft lbs...
It does suck but its only a car and life is what it is.
Plans now hmm well that's undecided I need to figure out what happened was it a machine shop that didn't do its job or a shitty oil pump or something I did... Who knows
I will fix this its not the end of the world pulling a motor is not...
I think you're right. Just wish I knew what caused it. :-/ car has not been driven more then 1,700 miles since I got it back. Never ran more then 9psi lol. Just sucks.
