The difference here being your differential isn't a new or rebuilt unit with a warranty about to expire.
Also, if you "know soooooo much" about turbos and your "knowledge is unquestionable" you'd know that a leaking turbo is a failing turbo and doing irreversible damage by the second.

You sure you have the hose ends on nice and tight?
Try putting a washer UNDER each nut, but on top of the flange. Re-torque.
Im seen CT26's dribble oil before, and that was because the rear seal was shot. :-(
