i cant fix it, i have nowhere to work on it. i cant have the shop fix it, i dont have enough money. see my frustration? i had someone look at it today and is interested in trading a bmw 320i + cash for it. prolly the only offer ill be getting, so i might go with it. just gotta test drive and...
I've had a couple people from other forums interested in the entire car. the mechanic said since we got a huge ass snow blizzard last night that the car can sit at his lot since it is buried in. we will see what happens with these interests. now to find another vehicle for the time being for...
i got the car as a straight trade for a 240sx project car that ran like shit. the engine was rebuilt, so i took the chance that maybe the head was torqued properly, but obviously not. i am in tough financial times right now and trading for the supra was the best deal i could find. it ran perfect...
yeah. i hate to do it, but theres no other option for me right now. if i had a place to store it and another vehicle, i would definitely be keeping it and doing the work myself. it seems pretty straight forward. i am just in a tough spot and theres no other roads to take except getting rid of...
sorry to say, but i cant fix the car. he said 1100 with labor and parts, then if the head needs to go to a machine shop its another how many hundred. I cant do that right now and have nowhere to store the car and possibly fix it myself later on. A local guy is hopefully gonna buy it for $800...
parting out does takes a lot of time and effort, i know this. like i said i parted out an entire 97 tiburon. I have no place to keep the supra if i bought a beater. lol. i know what you mean.
UPDATE: he is taking a look at the damages today and will get back to me this afternoon/evening...
^^^ believe me, i've asked that. he wouldnt be able to let me borrow a bay since its a small shop with only 2 bays and his lot is full with customer cars. I would rather do it myself, but time is my biggest problem. I am in engineering school which doesnt leave me much free time. and the free...
i havent had the time to modify it and i wanted a sig like that. lol. my bad. ps how do you modify it anyways?
i guess ill see what he said about the cost and whats all gotta be done before i make a decision.
i know what is entailed in a partout. i parted out a 97 tiburon and made my money back and then some. its just another option that is going through my head. thats why i was just wondering about the market right now.
Hey. Last night my head gasket blew (pretty damn sure thats what happened) on my 89 turbo and had to get it towed to a family friends shop. Tomorrow (Monday) he is gonna take a look at it and see what the damages are and how much it will be to fix it. Im guessing around $800 or so? Just a guess...
HAHA!! Yeah I figured it was that time. I'm looking forward to all the great advice and help I know I will get from this forum. Thanks everyone as well!
The supra runs a hell of a lot better than the 240sx I had. It needs some TLC, but nothing major.
I am representing Brookfield, WI here. About 15 minutes west of Milwaukee. I am normally downtown everyday for school, so you Milwaukee peeps might see me around.
Hey. My name is David and I am from the Milwaukee, WI area. I am a 4th year student at Milwaukee School of Engineering and am a huge car fanatic. My car history includes my first car which was a 97 Hyundai Tiburon FX that I turbocharged. The tibbys life ended with a squirrel chewing through the...
