A lot of torrent communities distribute their stuff but then password them and force you to sign up on their websites.

Check the mininova forums, they have a forum deicated to passwords.

meh, this is actually legit. I found a disc with a lot of pictures/programs/music etc from way back in the day that I password protected, and I cannot remember for the life of me what the fuck the password is. I'm talkin like 10 years ago :)

Negative, winzip is a bitch to crack, you could brute force it, but that would take a while, especially if the Password isn't a word.

At my job over the summer, we used 5 machines to try and crack into one document, each had a different set of varialbes. We let it run for a little over a week and stopped trying.

LOL, yep, modern encryption is damn near impossible to break.

this is why you put a text file named as the password...

you can view the contents of the zip (as in what the files are), but not the files directly...
