:thumbdown Well I pick my wife up from work in my 87 turbo 5spd. Well were cruising south on I-75 near Richwood, KY going about 70-73. Well I hear this buzzing and look in the rear view and what do I see? A HONDA... :evil2: well I maintain my speed and give a gesture with my head letting him know i heard his reving. We get side by side and he starts to go so i hit 4th thinkin this vtec is wanting to be embarrased because his chick was with him to., I hear a BOV (he must of went to third cause we were around 77+ish launching) He started to pull on me until around 90 when i was at the back of his door when I hit 5th at around 95 i pulled hard pn him and kept pulling was almost 2 car lengths ahead of him at 123ish and beep beep radar detector i cut over to the right and slammed the brakes coming over a small hill the civic zoomed by me as we went past the cop hopping in his car. The a$$hole cop pulled me over. civic had be running atleast 8-12 + mph then I was. Clocked me at 95mph wrote it down as 85mph, still sucks though. Wish I would of knew it was a turbocharged vtec I would of went to third and got him sooner and shut down before I got a ticket. Says on the citation he checked that he has video. I would like to have the video. I can't beleive he didn't get the civic. It was pull me over RED and i know that cops rear view shook when that coffee can went right next to his cruiser at 100mph+

The cop isn't going to care who is breaking the law more, to him a ticket is a ticket and it still one to add to his quota for the month no matter who gets it. If a cop goes after two people one doing 110 and one doing 95, which one is he going to catch first? Why do all that extra work to catch the guy doing 110 when he already has the guy doing 95, a tick is a ticket to him. Like IJ said responsibility for you actions, You were speeding, and you know the consequences for that action. Just because some one else did it worse than you it doesn't change the fact that you did it too. Me, I'd accept responsibility for my action, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn’t be madder than hell that I got a tick when some riced out Honda got off clean and is somewhere bragging about it. Yeah, I won’t lie, I’d be pissed. But it would make me think twice about racing another one.

Look on the bright side at least you won, you could have lost and gotten a ticket.

Police will ticket the faster looking car. For instance, it's a proven fact that red cars get more tickets than brown cars.

Yea the civic was red, my car is candy apple blue. I did suck it up lol I have the ticket and I know its my fault. All I said was that I couldn't beleive he didn't get the civic. Maybe it's a situation you would just have to see to understand. Any way I'll pay the fine and the extra insurance. This is my 2nd ticket for speeding I got one when i first got my license 4 years ago doing 96 in 65, went to traffic school the officer gave me a huge break and didn't take my license or give me wreckless driving. So even know I got 2 tickets I got a break on them both So my hat is off to them. Also for the record I don't race hondas alot. This was actually the only one besides my neighbors prelude.

Nah not pissed. I won, If I lost I'd be really pissed. Their is one thing I actually liked about it. It was apparent that the cop knew exactly what my car was. He even said it was a good looking supra. All is not lost just afew hundred bucks, still have my license and my supra =] could of been a lot worse.

Right on man. When I got my ticket for going 94 in a 65 my family thought I was sooo dumb. But as many times as I have gone 100, 120, 150+ on that same stretch of road, I consider myself blessed that I never crashed or got pulled over for going that fast.

i have a firend going into police academy that asked if i wanted to race once he got his cruiser (dead serious too i beleive he would do it without the intention of nailing me.) time will tell what a ford intercepter is capable of. i've never had the balls or the stupidity to try and find out.
