Needs paint and a rebuild. Looks pretty clean though. Engine shots? I'm not sure about the market there, but I bought a similar car for $1950.00 Offer 18 and haggle? These cars are money pits, so keep a wheelbarrow full of $$ for the rebuild. Don't forget to save some for turbo, clutch, sways and suspension. Gl.

Look at this in the atl these cars are worth $500-$5000 depending on what has been done to it or needs to be done ..... If bought you it for $2500 what is it going to cost you to get it on the road again.

If you are paying someone else to pull the engine, rebuild it, and then put it back in you are looking at $3000+ so you would be paying $5500 just to get her up and running.

I say 1000 bucks b/c its in pretty good shape and its an MKIII ..... but no more than 1500

I'm with these guys, I do not think it's worth $2500. I'm pretty sure I've seen running cars for that much over there.

$2200 Max. Thats great condition. So what if the car needs paint. You have a rust free shell, a Turbo motor that definitly needs work, a 5spd transmission, the car is already lowered, its an 89+, has foglights, mouldings and lip in good shape. It already has a $500 catback. The interior seems to be clean as well.

If it needs paint it's not great condition.

Im totally prepared to do all the work myself. I have already found a JDM motor i would probably swap in with ARP studs. So i could sell the old motor and at least make a little $$ back. He had it on the market for 2k for a while and no one bought it he was gonna fix it and keep it but its been sitting behind the building for like 5 months. Its non TEMS. I cant drive it since its got a BHG so thats a downside. Dont know what kind of shape the tranny is it but he assures me its all in working order, just the BHG. Interior is a 9 1/2 out of 10. Only problem is drivers side armrest on the door panel as a crack where your elbow sits. Im not quite sure why he raised the price $500 when i finally decided to ask him about it. Oh and the the paint on the body is in pretty good shape. Its just the bumpers that really need repainting pretty bad. But im in school for that at the moment so i can paint myself at materials cost. According to KBB its in "fair" conditon and its worth 2030.So i think 2000 is a fair price. Oh and like i said before hes throwing in a set of perfect condition 5 spoke 17" silver konigs.

If this is your first Supra, I would recommend finding something that is running and needs much less work.

Just a thought.

Probably a good idea. But its in my town so i can tow it to my house. It wont be a DD and i just graduated with an auto tech degree so im not really worried about working on it. I just want something fun to tinker around with on the side that will be faster than my DD honda :evil2: dont hate

No worries. Just thought you may engine driving the car with less issues than working on it while it sits in your driveway/garage.

There's alot to be learned from taking a non running car and making a running car. I just wouldn't want to do it being a n00b to the platform. (not saying being new is bad.) But you've been on SM for a little bit so you have some idea of what's going on.

But everyone has their own opinion.

Just don't cut corners getting it running. Being new to the car, you may get a negative sour taste for the car if you have alot of problems before you get a chance to enjoy positive properly running Supra ownership.

Good luck. :)

in my personal experience.... it's worth around that if not a bit less (like $2K)

get better pics of the interior as that color likes to fade BAD and looks like crap. Interior parts are expensive as hell and you have to live with looking at it all the time when you drive it...

underhood pics as well, and get a good look over the car.

lift up the back carpet and plywood, and pull out the spare. Rust there = lower price.
