Quick question. What/where exactly should this yellow wire be connected to? I recently purchased this car so I don't really know where everything goes yet. Thanks.

does it have a black tracer or a green tracer? If black, it hooks to the oil pressure sender. If its a grean tracer then it hooks to the water temp sensor. Both are for the gauges unless it is not a factory wire. those are the only two yellow wires that I can think of that would be over there unless that it is not a factory wire.
put a red volt meter lead to it, black to ground, and see if it has any voltage. should be ~12v with ignition on. looks like someone tapped off it for some reason.
it goes to the condenser fan temp switch.
