Year differances question, Jeff this one is for you!!

Ok so i found out last night that my town has a new 89 turbo. I was looking over the car and i saw that it had a pre 89 bumper. Strange thing was, the sticker on the inside of the door pannel said 3/89. :1zhelp:

I thought the changes were in late 89. Maybe I'm wrong though.

My car was made in October 1988, it is a 89 model year and has entire 89+ style. I believe the 89 started being produced in August '88.
But I agree, Jeff will come and give a definite answer for us all.
Maybe the owner just really like's the pre89 bumper? does it have 89+ tails, mirrors? etc.?

Someone put a pre-89 bumper on an 89. MassSupra89 is right, cars made from August 88 to July 89 are "1989" models and should have the updated bumper.
