I'm suspicious about his reason for selling. Five minutes away or not, why would you need no transportation whatsoever? There's other places to go besides work. I think he's covering up something BIG.

I concur. If you're gonna buy it take it to a mechanic to inspect it first.

lol everyone around here compares prices to the blue book though, so the bluebook says that a supra is worth 4-7 thousand dollars STOCK in good condition. So every moron on craigslist sells their car for twice or three times as much as what it's really worth and they wont change their mind. Most also put up a higher price because of their labour, which is bullshit. I wish I lived in the states so I could get a supra for a good price, not a gay price.

You can get supras in canada for a good price too, just gotta be willing to put in a ton of elbow grease. I got my 5 speed turbo targa for 1250, but she was rough in the body, but she was mechanically sound.

I agree, I'm just saying the only ones you're likely gonna find as a good deal will need a lot of work done, the real pita is finding out what is and isnt broken especially when they try to hide it from you when you buy it. Rather the trick is finding one where the owner is gonna be upfront with you aboot the problems.

Canadian Blue book value for my car was $2600 CDN in 2007. It's true, Canadian cars cost more, and have less selection, which is why I imported mine from the USA.

Funny thing is, if this were a Mk2 in identical condition, it would probably sell for asking price.

The fact is, you gotta start somewhere, and not every car will be ideal, you just got to make it what you want it to be.

If they dont come up often in your area get it. You said you have enough to buy the car and pay for repairs. Bring a mechanic with you have him look the car over real well tell him the most common problems with these cars have double check those areas. If no mechanic is available look yourself and make sure you let the car warm up to temprature first.

There is a white '92 and a black '90 in the buy & sell in the lower mainland...I'd look at several before purchasing...maybe a cherry one with a bad motor will come along for cheap... gl.
