Is is possible to store video of a game onto a jump drive, i.e. a game song from GH, Rockband, etc...

Also, we use a wireless ISP, and we get their signal from a "radio" that's mounted on our roof. Our download speed is about 1370 kbps and upload is usually around 5-600 kbps. It has a cable that comes down and through the wall that plugs into a power source for the radio and then a cable from it goes to a wireless router. Make sense? I hope so. Basically, we don't have a cable modem or DSL hardline. Can we still get on Xbox Live? Can't seem to get some real answers. We plug the console directly into the router and keep getting and IP Failed notice. I talked to some beotch with xboxlive support who could barely speak english and she said LIVE won't work with our setup. I really don't think she ever understood though. DSL and cable internet are not available anywhere in my area and I know kids around here are getting on LIVE with just broadband. Any suggestions? My son is driving me crazy for this.

BTW our router is a Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO.

From what I understand, Live doesn't work with Wireless internet. Hop in Flashchat, I'll see if I can help you anyway.

We dug the old xbox out and connected it and it works just fine on LIVE. So my son couldn't stand it so I got an account going and got him signed in and now he's playing Halo 2 and has been for hours. Maybe our ISP can tell us how to get the 360 connected. We'll have to wait till Monday though.

I remember having to call the tech line to match the 360 with the wireless setup on the computer, like ip address and such. you might have to do the same.

Did you not get my last message in FC? Write down all the network settings as they show up in the original X-Box, and manually enter them in to the 360. Ta-da

No I didn't. The same time we where in FC, my mother-in-law called and told my wife her tongue was swelling. She rushed over there and called for an ambulance. Her tongue was about 3 inches thick and she couldn't talk and also felt the back of her throat swelling. EMS got there and transported her to the ER and she was admitted. She had some kind of reaction to something she ate but has no clue what it was. She's better today but they still might keep her another day.

So, we'll give that a try sometime today. Thanks.

Grab yourself one of the Xbox360 Wireless adapaters, plugs into that USB port on the back of the console, works fine. Its what weve been using. The only time it gives me shit is when Im using it to play back movies over the network off the computer.

Wrote down the settings from the old xbox and manually input them into the 360 and it still didn't work. For shits and giggles I reset to factory defaults and it worked!

We'll work on the wireless adapter later but for now my son is having a blast on Halo 2 and 3.

If you have a laptop or your computer is close enough to your 360, you can connect your console to the computer with the ethernet cord. This will save you the 50 or 100 or whatever the wireless adapter is if you don't want to buy it. I just connect my laptop to the surge protector, connect the two, and just leave the laptop there on the floor- no issues and money still in my pocket.

That way if you have wireless internet, you should be able to just connect the two with the ethernet cord and you should be good to go. I got mine back in January so I don't remember exactly what had to be done to set up the settings, but I don't think it was much, if anything.

Although I'm not sure if this will apply in your case since your internet set up seems to be different, but I guess it's worth a shot before you go out and buy one.

I set mine up this way as well a few days ago. Instead of buying a brand new Xbox 360 wifi adapter for $99.99, or from Craigslist for like $70, I decided to go this route. Just have a laptop or PC that gets wireless.

Go into control panel, network connections, and then click your wireless connection. Go to properties, advanced, and then click the box that says something along the lines of "allow sharing of this connection, etc"

Also, if you have a firewall, turn that off.
