Bought an 88T not to long ago "automatic unfortunatly"...sat for a month then I changed the valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires.
After I bought a used accordian and slapped it on " Bless supramania!!"
She started right up and runs fine..well needs shims its a tippity tappin.

Problem is I figured ide drive her around my big driveway because shes not on the road yet. When I put it in reverse she like launches as soon as I let off the brake? and when I put it in drive she barely moves like somethings holding her back...so i tap the gas and she groans and drops ide to 500 and sputters back to a G??

The only thing I can think of is maybe the brakes are a tad rusty or maybee a caliper is stuck or missing a bolt?? Ive never messed with the brakes and she was fine before I did the gaskets.
Im retarded when it comes to transmissions could I have messed with a vac line that was attached? bare with me peoples

There is nothing vacuum related for the trans, its all electronic. Not sure i'm following on the problem though, sometimes when the afm is bad, it will idle ok, then fall on its face when you give it gas. It may be unplugged or got knocked around when you were working.

Yeah Last night I went to show a friend the problem to get some imput and ofcourse nothing happened?
I would kick the car if it didnt have such sexy lines and was so solid...even though I prob have the worst paint job on this forum.

This morning she was acting up again so where should I look for the trans filter the toyota parts?

^ What he said. It's not like it's a hard job either. Maybe cost you $30-35 at advance.

How old is the gas in the car? You said it was tapping, how does the oil look? Did you check it? Did you check the timing?

In park/Neutral how does it rev? With an auto trans, there seems to be a hundred things that can make your car run/drive like crapp.

I would still change the filter and fluid, no telling how long its been in there.
Ok, but find the problem first....as far as afm, the best way is swap a known good one in if you know someone that has one.

She revs pretty well in neutral and it seems now that there really isnt a problem??

I know that its kinda off topic and yell if ude like but is it worth doing a manual swap in my car? how much money am I looking @?

Don't be so negative about it. :)

Most of the fastest Supra's on these forums are Auto.

They're not STOCK.......But they ARE Auto.

Good luck on your car, BTW.
