 I drive a 87 N/A and it was driving just fine... Then as soon as im 50miles from my house it decides to slip or somthing! The car suddenly started to jerk and slip(?trani-slippage?) I lost power to the wheels and it sounded muffeled, like the exhaust was clogged or somthing... I didnt smell any fried clutch, but my machanic told me that my "rear seal was in need for replacement" about a week before all this happened.

Does this stuff happen when you blow your main-seal? And if you blow your seal wouldnt you lose oil? My oil is just fine!

I washed the car the day of, and used the "Engine degreaser" stuff on my engine bay. Could water to the engine do this damage?:icon_conf

look down where your spark plugs are, take one of the wires out and see if you see water in it..

Now my question is, Are my plugs or injestors bad? Or can i just wait for them to dry? Also if its the water problem would that have messed up the engine instantly, because mine f'd up about a hour later...

Sooo, Yah i checked my plugs and i have about 20oz of water around my plugs... I let it run for about 45min, then i took it out, it was fine until i went about 20mph, then the same thing happened! They are a bit moist still, do you think the problem will go away?

The water also scared me because it looks like oil, but i think it is just dirty water...:icon_conf

Time to break out the hair dryer!

Did you check inside of your distributor for any water that may have seeped in?

i did something similar i went threw a " puddle" turned out to be two feet deep swamped motor only thing that saved my ass was that my head lights where up and deflected water away from intake anywho just grab a shop vac and suck it out if not just take your time and use lots of paper towels and a spark plug socket to get it all out then run it while holding back edges of rubber to let out the steam

use a towel and use the venturi effect... dip the edge of a towel into the galley and let it suck the water up like a sponge.. repeat until its all gone, or use a vacuum

you can wash your engine at the car wash guys. The trick is to leave it running while you hose it down.

You cant be serious! we have aluminum heads! you will crack that shit if you dump water on them when its hot...
