WTF? 5psi then 10psi? WTF?

ok so i took my supra out for a drive today. it was around 3pm and it was like 80-90 degrees outside. i went on the freeway and went WOT. i boosted at 5psi. then at night i went out again around 3AM and i boosted at 10psi. btw i wasnt using a boost controller. i knew i had some boost leak but wtf 5psi then 10psi. that does not make sense. i have semi blown twins.

it'll boost higher in colder temperatures, but not THAT much. WTF.

Something more than tempature is affecting that. Were you in the Same gear for both pulls?

yea you'll boost higher in cooler weather...... i boost 11.7 during the day then 14psi (boost cut) at night.

its possible to gain 5 psi do to temperature but you shouldn't be boosting 5 psi during the day at all. thats half of stock boost pressure!!!

i think i might have a boost leak somewhere near my intake pipes. ill do the boost leak test.

I don't own a 1J, but from seeing a few, i'd guess that the couplers connecting both of the turbo's hardpipes together could start to crack and it would only open up under boost...

i just installed a brand new intercooler system. i think its my greddy bov. ill make a block off plate and block off the bov area. if not then ill have to make that home made boost leak tester.
