supras piss me off.. probly done with the mk3's now.. i got mine in a storage unit now and was going to save for a possible 1j swap.. but im tired of doing swaps and headgaskets and all this crap, not to mention i have owned over 6 supras in a 2 year period.. so me and my wife unit are going to go look at a WRX tomorow.. Its pretty affordable at 13,000$ we have a down payment ready of a decent amount so we should be good if we do decide to buy it.

When i got into supra's i was telling myself that the MK3 was going to tide me over until i got a MK4 which is what i really want.

I love supra's.. i just think its time to move on.. i have one more MK3 to deal with (my wifes) and i think that will be the end of the road for MK3's for me.

Me and wife will share WRX while i save to finally buy ANY mk4 so i can start on that.. anywho.....

Does anyone have any reasonable opinions about WRX's (no its not an sti)
And no flaming saying omfg a subaru boooo

thx =)

P.S. also buying my dads corvair!!!! flat 6 ftmfw!

There's another thread on em...

Have fun with the transmission :D

What are you talking about. it is 1 year (2002) that has ever had a problem. This is such a stupid rumor about subaru trannies that needs to die.

You'll enjoy yourself with a WRX. I had a TXS Stage III (Stock turbo at 18lbs, FMIC, Intake, ECU upgrade, Full exhaust, Uppipe) modded '02 and it was a blast. I drove the snot out of that car and the tranny never failed me.... just don't dump the clutch when launching and the tranny will last.
But honestly, you will get bored with AWD and wish you had RWD again... at least that's what happened to me. :biglaugh:

my boy has been thru like 3 trannies in his subie.. he has 2 mk3's also.. lol.. to be honest.. the only thing with the wrx.. its a newer car thats it.. not quite as fun in stock trim.. u can enjoy it after about 2k in good mods... full exhaust, DP and all, TXS UTEC with a high psi tune.. aroun 17 or 18.. intake and STi intercooler... FMIC's dont do much in BPU form and not worth the expense.. i see STi's make 400whp effienctly with the top mount with the same mods as a FMIC'd STi.. but.. go for it.. its gonna be fun regardless
