last night we all met up at our local spot out in the county it's a half mile of wide smooth road that's far enough out of the way that law enforcment pretty much looks the other way..Anyway first up was an 03 rex with a big IC downpipe exhaust and racegas and he wouldn't race me from a dig (he had an automatic) so we did a 15mph roll and it was pretty much a raping...The second guy was in a decently built 80's 5.0 with a manuel we went from a stop and he stayed with me through 1st and 2nd but 3rd I started to walk away from him and as soon as we hit 4th I smoked him my car was running 15psi on a cheap T4 with tires that were completely bald not a bad night...then I raced my friends 500hp sr20 swapped 240 and I got owned can't win'em all

Nice kills and a very good looking car. Just need to fix the door moulding. You can probably find someone on here that has a piece. As a matter of fact I have a piece that's on an 88. You pay for shipping and it's yours. Just let me know.............lol

the real question here is clearly "wtf??? a WRX that CHOOSES to RACE A SUPRA FROM A ROLL"

HELLO, NEWS AT 11, "WANNA RACE FROM A ROLL?" IS THE SUPRAS MOTTO

seriously, is that guy on CRACK???????? he does realize his car has AWD right? its an auto but STILL

:nono:

EDIT: well i started thinking about this a little harder.. i guess.. AWD is kind of useless on a launch for an auto... meh.. im tired, been up since 3 AM friday :(

You may be tired Brad, but you do bring up a valid point. The only chance he had was to get DG out of the whole, and even then it would have been a short lived head start................lol

yeah the guy in the rex is kinda a clown I have really bad tires right now and spin bad off the line and I told him to brake boost it and leave on boost but he insisted on a roll so I took him as soon as we got on it as far as my 1/4 goes in a perfect world mid high 12's that little stang was kinda tough though anyway I talked to mr subaru today and he said he's getting bigger injectors and next time we race he'll smoke me I'll keep ya updated but I'm sure you all know what the outcome will be

People call them "Rex"s because if you sound out the letters "WRX", I guess it comes out to Rex. ;) Derrr. "REX" = RX-7, FTW.

DG.........easy man, no one is pointing fingers at you. This is probably the fourth or twelth time I've heard them called a rex on here. Just simply stating that a few guys on here always referred to the RX-7 as a rex. You whipped his ass and whipped it good. That's good for me to know, cause I haven't raced one yet, but now I know I should beat it if one tries me. We basically have the same upgrades. Great kill.................lol

Thanks bud keep in mind this kids got a WRX not an STI but as easy as it was to walk one of those I wouldn't be scared of the STI either unless you spin really bad off the line then it might take a little while to run him down but from a roll neither one is
to be feared if your car is over 10psi with other goodies as far as the rex thing goes I own an Rx7 and I've never heard that before so I was kinda like WTF but anyway I'm racing an EVO tonight that's stock all it has is a MBC set at 20psi so that should be interesting

Man, I have heard some awesome and scary things about the evo. Their suppose to be wicked fast. Good luck with that one and make sure you keep us posted.

As for my car, I don't have a bc on it yet, but it spools about fourteen psi, and if I stay in it, it'll go to about 18. I usually just feather it as needed. At the track I spin like crazy through first and second. I also just dynod at 406 rwhp. It feels like 250 hp through first and second to me though. At third fourth and fifth it feels like a rocket.................lol

I thought all wrx's were stick? I don't remember ever seeing an auto.
On a side note, the new STI is 300/300 an is SUPPOSED to run very low 13's, 12.8's or something with a professional driver. A friend has one, and I can't touch it from anything but a 3rd gear roll. (damn 3.73 diff)

Well, another question to add is... why call a WRX a "Rex"? They are both 3 letters and Rex was IMO, taken a long time ago by the RX7

I've raced an EVO not sure of mods pretty sure it was stock. Anyway I managed to get the lead but not by far he was on my bumper up until we shut down around 120mph. was from a 35mph roll.
