Im looking into going with a larger turbo, such as a T-70. right now i have a Lipp Boss stage 5 57 trim. So my question is would the t70 make more power at the same boost range as my current turbo? This is prolly a stupid question but i would just like to find out more info before i go upgrading. Also how much power do people running T70's usualy range at? anyone running a t70 on their 7m please jump in here :) also im looking for suggestions on different turbos to go with, obviously something larger than what i currently have. Thanks guys!

A T70 will definitly make more power, i was running a 60-1 turbo and upgraded to a T70, the T70 is stronger. The T70 put you in the 500rwhp with about 21psi, just need a very strong engine to take that abuse. You should try the T76

Look in the videos section under 'beat by a r6'. One of our Supra brothers are running a t70 at 23? psi. He was about 2-3 bike lengths behind a R6. If he were as succesfull in the 60' he would be running maybe high 10's.

My suggestion would be to look at a boss 67mm BB or similar. Look up the streetfire vids and such and youll see what great sucess the MKIV have been having with them.

Edit: Do you want this for all around on pump gas, Or Big numbers on c16? What are your goals between spool and power?

what 60-1 turbo were you running? i went from the ct60-1 to my lipp boss and it was a world of a difference, i gained over 100hp at the same psi. As for the T76 im not to familar with that one... And as for having a very strong engine.. i have that part covered ;)

t70 will make you happy however you will get more lag. It will kick in hard at 4k or soo and with proper supporting mods make around 500crank hp on pump gas. Ran that turbo for quite some time got vids up on you tube under t70 short ride. Oh yeah supporting mods= twin pumps for over 500rwhp, adj press regulator, 3' or bigger ex, good head gasket seal, good intercooler, 2.5" cooler pipes, 600cc or larger injectors, 550cc for 500hp crank, clutch to hold it, good working ignition system, stand alone or vpc and good tune

It won't make more power unless the turbo you are running is out of it's efficiency range. If you are around 350-400 rwhp and don't plan on going more you won't gain much. Most T70's use a P trim turbine. You stage 5 is pretty close to that now, Little smaller on the inducer. IMO, if you are looking to run 30 psi I would go bigger. If 20 psi or less keep what you have.

I dissagree to a point. I went from a t3/t4 hybrid which put down 440rwhp at 17psi(but was capable of 24+psi easy) to over almost 550rwhp with a t70 at 18psi. Same mods and tune just bigger turbo. I would say def go with a BB setup and a GT35r with a .63A/R is a wicked setup! Also the 67mm SP61GT BB is a very nice turbo for street that can lay down the numbers!

What T3 turbine? T3 is pretty veg. 550 rwhp at 18 psi with a 7M? Ok. You've managed to do what 2J's do with with a poorer flowing 7M head.

The .63 on it will kill the HP. It would spool good though.

well i know right now im just under 500hp at about 20psi, if not at 500hp. I just raced my friends MK3 with a 2J single T70 he made right around 480 at 15psi or so and i pulled him on the interstate from 65-135mph.. and im capable of running 28psi on my setup right now. so i can push over 500. And another odd thing, after today im actualy quite satisfied with my setup.. today i found a good sized boost leak on one of my couplers that has apparently been there for a while.. i fixed that and it made a huge difference in power.

yup! i still want more power, but for now i'll find it in other ways than just slapping on a bigger turbo. I love how this turbo spools and hits, it makes alot of good streetable power.

I come from a land down under
Yep a lot depends on the road surface and temp, a few times mine has hooked with Trac off and it's a rocket :)

Biggest scare i had was at 5am in winter rolling into the throttle at 100 Mph on a wet road no Trac......
