Well today after work I put my car on the lift to install my dwonpipe, and everyone came over and was pointing out the various amounts of rust. I have a huge 1-2 foot hole in each wheel well, my spare tire well has various holes, and of course fenders. I have started to repair the passanger side with fiber glass and shaped it and it looks very good. I just need some motivation and was wondering if anyone had pictures of how bad there car was befire they did body work. I really don't wanna get a new supra, I love this one. Just need some motivation :)

Thankyou

Billy

I'm in the middle of some large rust repair work right now. DON'T DO FIBERGLASS!!!!!! All you're doing is sealing in the "cancer" and allowing it to spread quicker. To effectively fix your car, you need to cut all the rust out, and have new steel welded in. If you're hoping to just have it last a little while longer than glass away, otherwise you're just sealing the inevitable outcome.

I have tons of pictures of the work I'm doing but haven't posted them yet. The process is very slow when done right, but I plan on having this car last another 25 years or more so its worth it to me. What is interesting to me is that both rear wheel wells are trashed as well as a few parts of the floor subframe, but everything else is totally clean and free of rust. Bizarre.

Do it right or don't bother doing it at all. I know it sounds harsh, but its the only way.

He's 100 percent right. Do it the right way before it gets worse, it will be worth it in the end. When you put in new steel make sure to prime and paint it or it will rust very quickly. I have some rust to repair in the spare tire well as well. If you suspect that the spare tire well is rusting due to a leak in a tail light seal or the hatch seal make sure to get that taken care of or prepare to have to do it all over again. Good luck bro.

Just have a look in my project thread. There you can see before shots and after. But I'm not done with the rear wheel arches. I still have a little on one door and a little on the front fenders.
I did a lot of rust repairing in the rear of my supra.

Im gonna agree, the only time fiberglass would be acceptable would be with little holes on say the floorboards. Id agree with cutting and welding. With rust you wanna do it right the first time and not half ass it. Goodluck man!!
