The site says he's running a GT51R, but the aussies must call something else that name. A real GT51R is HUGGGEEEEEEEEE. That looks like a GT35R

Had I known that 1J can fit in the Cressida I would have told my brother long time ago not to junk his Cressida.

That looks bad ass... with that HUGE turbo.

Neat car for sure. Seen him around... I wish I was that fast :(

FYI, Cressida/chaser/markII/cresta are all the same car. And in japan it came with 1jz. It's no harder than a jza70 swap :)

In SF Drag racing section..

He says best trap ~ 145 mph.. 3360 lbs with him in it so ~ 830 whp.. on a built 1.5 jz and a gt4202 turbo (74mm) 25-26 psi with a direct port system..

Who sells those turbine covers? I'd love to have one for my car. My car gets tooo freaking hot inside the engine bay. Does anyone know who sells them. I checked Titan but didn't see one. Thanks.

I think BL has turbo blankets or whatever they're referred to as now.

Here's an idea...how about world's fastest Corona....Called my cousin in PA and asked him if he still have the shell and to my surprise the shit still there after all these years. Has anyone installed a 1J on Toyota Corona?

Not to mention it's no heavier than a Supra and has a REAL backseat. Tein makes suspension for it, too :)

It's not a sleeper with a big intercooler on it. Its just a unattractive 80's four door sedan that is crazy fast. I could see doing a lexus 300 series sedan with the 2J like the aristo. 10 sec in anything is still impressive though....

i have a 600x300 fmic on my 87 and you have to LOOK to see it. It is by no means obvious.

It all depends how you mount the FMIC...

on my sC300, its more foward and very visable..

on my friends 650whp th400 2jz SC300 (9 sec car), you can't see his FMIC because its mounted farther back in the bumper and hidden by the factory grill

I guess the daily driven slicks and skinnies give it away, and the smell of c16 (its not driven on anything else)

I must be a real weird one then, because I think that car has beautiful lines. I'm more for the angles than the round and curvy thing. The reason I prefer MKIII over the MKIV
