My dad works for a paper mill in Toledo, Oregon and I know they're hiring..There are some places here in my area (factories, lumber mill, etc) that are hiring...But you'd be like 5 hours or a $15 train ride to Seattle

good luck with the job search. seattle seems to be lay-off city right now. boeing, starbucks, microsoft, are just the biggies. then add all the service/construction jobs that the biggies support and you get a whole lotta people lookin for work around here.

not sure how seattle compares to the rest of the country right now as everyone seems to be hurtin.

all i know, is thats its a damn good time to be in a strong union. ;)
