Well, I am sarcastically excited to find out that I have to buy a new block and head. Whoever replaced the HG on it did it a least 2 other times in my cars 140K life. I just assumed the last rebuild before my first HG job was just a crappy job. My block and head are too trashed to rebuild into a reliable 350 hp car. My head is warped and so is my block to the point that we could barely get the studs out. We straight edged it and it is a banana along with the head. I had a feeling this was going to happen, and I already have trust issues with it. The harness needs quite a bit of work anyways.
Let me get to my question. I am looking at JDM motors, and found one on egay:

I already have the tranny and pedals for my 5sp swap, but needed to buy the other parts, and have several members here that have them reasonable prices. This ebay unit has the tranny, ecu and harness already. Also isn't the JDM harness built for RHD models, and how hard is it to convert to LHD?
I am on the verge of buying $$$thousands$$$ of parts like everyone else here, and need a shove in the right direction. I was thinking that if I do buy this JDM, I would pull the head off, and get the machine work done for a MHG, install the HG and studs and still get my turbo and manifold done by MDC, while buying the rest of my parts. I still need to buy a AF controller either MAFT or SACF2 (haven't decided on that either).
Maybe I just need reassurance, who knows. Whaddaya think?
