So today the Supra wouldn't start. The voltometer read 8-10 and would drop to 4-6 when we tried to turn the car on. No starter noise at all. It has some power because the car beeps when the key is in the ignition and the power door locks work. I'm guessing the battery is dead. Is there anything else that could cause this? I'm pretty sure a light wasn't left on.

i'm willing to bet it's the battery, as well. :) try jump starting it. if it starts and stays running, it's the battery. if it starts, runs, then dies when you disconnect the jumper cables, then your alternator is probably toasted. time for new brushes. :)
