Won't rev past 4000rpm's

After my car heats up for quite a while at WOT it won't rev past 4000.
It doesn't sputter or waver it just stays pretty much flat at like 4000-4200 and won't do anything til i reduce throttle.

Free rev's fine all the way.

No check engine light, but i haven't been able to check codes yet.

This seems like it would be fuel to me but as i'm very new to this i'm not gonna make any assumptions.
Has anyone run into this before?

Searched, found similar results no clear fixes.

I'll check codes tuesday, first day i'll have time...

No I've never messed with the TPS but i've only owned the car for 3 months.

The other thread that was similar to this suggested to test and gap plugs to .028 so i think i'll do that as well just for the heck of it.
