Won't rev past 2500 rpm

I just finished putting a JDM 7MGTE into my 87 supra. I've added a Walbro 255 and 3in downpipe to it while I was at it.

The problem is when I'm driving the car seems to stop at 2500 rpm and jerks and won't accelerate anymore. If I let up on the gas a little it will continue to accelerate a little more. I've checked for boost leaks, replaced the bov, and tried a different afm. I also replaced all the stock hose clamps with t-bolt style ones. Does this problem seem like a boost leak or something else? Also, the turbo is very loud; it sounds almost like a semis.

Thanks for any help.

"Also, the turbo is very loud; it sounds almost like a semis." Better description?

I replaced the fuel pump with the Walbro thinking that was the problem. Maybe FPR? It also does this in all gears around 2500 btw.

The turbo you can just hear it spool while it's idling. You can also just hear it while it's driving. I don't know if that's normal on a MKIII as I've never driven or rode in another turbo supra, but all of the other turbo cars I've been in it seems like the turbo doesn't sound as loud.

Check your turbo for shaft play... grab it, and see if it wiggles more than a HAIR... had a similar problem before, too, without the turbo sound (it was an n/a) - turned out we forgot to hook up the TPS.

I checked the TPS last night. Everything appears to be within spec on that.
