Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could get some help with an issue I have found with my 89 engine wiring harness.

Basically, some of my plugs/wires that plug into the temp sensors are broken. I can fix the wires, but the plugs are so old, they are breaking on me when disconnecting. Tried also disconnecting my O2 sensor and CPS... yep, broke the tabs on both of those just by pushing down.

That being said, i've been googling, and searching the forums looking for the appropriate replacement plugs. I even spent 45 min looking in the TSRM.. no luck. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction as far as part #'s and sources for the plug connectors, as well as part #'s for the sensors? I can't seem to find the right part number for the Aux. A/C fan sensor or plug, as well as the A/C fan switch blue plug. I def need a new A/C fan sensor, as the end connector piece is moving around, when it shouldn't.

I'm pretty handy with electrical systems, so I no fear of having to jimmy rig things, but i'd really like to fix this the right way.

Anyone know of a thread that covers all of the part #'s for the connectors and sensors that tie into the main water housing? I attached a picture.

I know this has been discussed before, but where the heck do you find new plugs? And as far as sensors, I know I can get a Temp Sensor from Driftmotion, but I understand there is a difference between the Temp Sensor 1, 2 and 3... sigh.

I have a Wire Harness Repair PDF that I can send you. I can't remember where I got it from, but I used it when I refreshed my harness last year. I bought the plugs from Toyota and depinned and repinned them. I had bought some of the pins from Driftmotion, but you can find them online. I'm pretty sure they're Sumitomo brand, but they come in like 2 different sizes. Many of the plugs have a 5 digit part number that you might be able to look up. When I did mine, I had to look at the component and figure out which shape would fit, since a couple of the plugs were missing. PM your email address and I can send the file to you.

Im in the same boat as you OP. I am going to rebuild my harness from the bottom up, new wire, new pins, new connectors. Im tired of dealing with this 25 year old stuff! Here are the links i used, maybe you can as well.

Also dm and dr tweak sell a lot of the connectors.

Iirc tweak can get all of the later ones.
