I am currently going the a NA-T conversion, but I am having trouble find a 1989 wiring harness and ECU. I can get my hands on a 1988 harness and ECU. My question is can I use the 1988 setup in my 1989 body without problems?

Without problems no, with problems yes. I've done the turbo conversion on my '89, and from my experiance an '88 harness/ecu will work, but you'll run into problems with the under dash wiring. Mainly the big square plug. depending on what part of '89 your car was made, it should plug right in but you'll have to study wiring diagrams and move some pins around to get everything to work right. Also, there were some sensor plug syle changes for coolant temp and csi time switch,(and trans reverse linghts IIRC) so you'll either need to swap sensors or cut and solder the old pigtails. Just save yourself the trouble and get '89 parts, and don't rush things or cut corners.
here's a harness in the fs section.

Post a thread in the wtb section, I sure someone around here has an '89 ecu. GL
Edit: nevermind, I see that you already did^^
