wire?

I have an extra wire! Both of my knock sensors are wired up and this wire is similar to the knock sensor wire. There is no plug at the end.

It coming off the wiring harness near the fuel injector wires.
Can anyone identify it?

it appears to be shielded just like the Knock wires are. Do you have bot hknock snesor wires?

I don't get it, both of my knock sensors are plugged in and the engine is running smoothly.

That does not look stock to me, trace it back as far as you can and let us know where it is coming from.

the wire comes out of the main wiring harness along the middle of the intake manifold area.

Do you think the previous owner did a knock sensor re-wire? I can't contact the previous owner to ask him.

To trace it I'd have to unwrap the harness but it looks like it's running along the entire harness.

Unplug the KS's and see if they're done with original wire, you may have to untape em a bit if he's joined the stock connector onto new wire.

i'm almost 100% positive that wire is what's used for the stock KS harness. i'd say cut it off and leave it be.

I just chopped it and taped the end and forgot about it.

you could pull the harness off the ECU and then pin it with a continuity tester and a long jumper and helper.
