I did snow for several years in my Supra. The drop throttle oversteer can be a bitch on a 5 speed, less on an auto.

Get a real set of 4 snow tires and some sandbags, then all you'll need to worry about is rust.

Find a local auction. I went to one last week just to "look" and ended up buying a '96 Mazda 626 w/ v6, leather and s/roof or less than $2500. Best of all it still alows me to have the money for the supra overhaul and I can sell it next year for about $5000 and make money. Not only that but my money went to Canadian Diabeties.

LOL. Its a Canadian organization for diabetes research (govn't operated/funded). In the US it probably named something different.

Park it man. Save the money and work on it over the winter if you have a garage to do so, or know someone who does have the extra space. This way you'll be driving the car more in the summer and spending less time (not none) pulling the wrenches when summer comes around.

I am more than likely going to have my supra all back together when the snow starts falling and I plan on driving the supra as much as possible. I have a wrangler as my second car, but I plan on selling it as soon as the supra is done(should wait untila fter winter so well see) She is going to have snow tires, sand bags and sit in a heated garage when it is really bad out. I just plan on keeping her in the garage if it is really snowy out, if not, I will drive her around because the roads are uaually fine as long as it didn't just snow.

Jon

Also, the car will go back to stock boost for the winter so hopefuy with less power it will handle a little better in the snow and not break free everytime I hit the gas.

Just picked up my winter beater, My old 96 gmc left me stranded last week... I had to drive the supra in the rain (me not happy). So I traded that old 96 in for this! Heated leather makes my ass happy. Gotta have a 4 wheel drive to go snowboarding.

How do you like the truck. I was considering buying on of those next year in the summer, but I like the new Frontier better.

They have almost identical dimensions, the chevy has an inline 5 instead of the frontiers v6, not as powerful as the frontier but looks nicer IMO. I'm a chevy guy so... but so far im very pleased, gets up and goes no problem and and its fully loaded! Only difference will be towing capacity and power, the frontier does better but doesn't look as good doing it :biglaugh: BUY AMERICAN!
