I'm going with a seperate set of winter tires on sawblades this year, and I want to know what the best size for them would be. 225/50 is stock but there are only 4 options on Tirerack, whereas there are many more options going with a 205/55. Will the 205/55 size work for sawblades, or is there a better size that has a good selection?

I ran 225/50/16 Goodyear Assurance Tripletreads for 4 winters, with great results. Kinda pricey, but not overpriced. Just picked up a set of the same size Continental DWS for the old lady's Mazda3, I have a set of these as well for my 89, albeit in a 255/40/17.
