Do you have the recirculate on? That will make it fog up. Perhaps the door is stuck, and you only have inside air. Recirc is the same as max a/c on a domestic. It makes the a/c cool quicker.

Man, I was dealing with this too recently. Go and get the rain-x anti fog sheets. I was having such a problem with fog that I couldnt see out the windshield period one day and had to pull over and wipe it down, but I put that rain-x inside on the windshield and the window now stays crystal clear at all times. Hell Im so pleased with the results that Im going to put that stuff on all my windows .

You guys must be running with no AC.

Turn on the defroster and it starts your AC system up. The cold evaporator in the HVAC system takes the moisture out of the air, and then flows that air over your heater core, and you get nice dry air blowing up on the windshield.

No AC however, and you just get moist warm air on the windshild.

Check to make sure your heater core is not leaking too. This will cause excessive condensation on the inside of the windshield, and it will smell like antifreeze. (Assuming your running that as well.)

Well, the AC only helps to remove the moisture from the air.
Your defroster will work w/o it, but just not as well.

The aplications that you put on the surface of the glass work, but they are just like a band aid. It only covers up the underlying problem. (And cars don't heal themselves.)

Good luck.

I used that rainX stuff over a year ago and I still can't get the greasy film it left off my windshield. Ever since then even the smallest oncoming light turns the entire window into a huge white sheet of glare. I think it was a bad bottle though cause it worked a couple years before that on my truck. Just test it before you coat the whole window. I've tried every degreaser and window cleaner I can find with no luck.

I had just bought a new Camry for the wife, when a month later I was transfered to Florida. It rains alot there. I put Rain x on the windows. The sides and back worked great. The water beaded up and ran down so nice. I could always see out them.
BUT...the rain often was light, and it wouldn't bead up fast enough on the widshield and run off. So...I had to use the wipers. Well...that F#$%^% it all up. Big hazy look thru it. I tried everything to get the RainX off. I ended up using 0000 steel wool and carb cleaner. It took many hours. I will never use that, or anything like it again.

Now I just keep good wiper blades on, and carwax the other windows. Also I took off the back blade when I got the car cause it looks crappy. The wax beads the water and works great.
