Im planning on buying an 89 Turbo Targa shell on monday, the windows are down and I need the them up so I can keep the car outside. Is there anyway I can roll them up without an engine in the car?

Yes u can use a jump box to get power to them a rolled them u if not u can just get to the wires and add power and ground have have them go up I don't remember the colors but I can try in a few and get u the link ok good luck

Couldn't you just hook up a battery?

Use a set of jumper-cables. Give power to the fuseable link that was on the pos battery terminal (it comes from the fuse box). Just ground to the chassis. Then turn on the key and put up the windows.

Just make sure any power wires aren't touching ground anywhere, hook a battery and roll em up. I do it all the time. no problems!
