I did a seacrh but didnt come up with anything useful. Im doing a restore for my mom and all of her window trim needs to be replaced badly. Im thinking about just taking it out and spaying it all flat black. But I think Itll leak in the rain pretty bad if I cut away all the old rubber from the metal. Can anyone gimme some advice?

Someone else posted on this subject yesterday I think. Just look for it. Someone was saying that you could buy it all from toyota dealership and it came with new clips and everything. I remember reading it because I've got to get all new trim for my back hatch also.

I got new trim for my windshield, but the trim pieces for the rear, they are expensive. The windshield trim is not so bad. I am looking for window trim now.

yea, mine was pretty much bare metal in the front and back, I took the ghetto way out and used a bottle of black touch-up paint all the way around, and on the windshield wiper arms (bare metal too) It also doesn't look that bad...just a little glossy, don't use the flat back one though... it flakes off:)

I thought I saw a special tool in the manual that it suggests you use for removing the window trim. Im gonna try my luck finding some good trim at the junkyard which conveniently has a window shop next to it. So I might be able to get them to take it out for me.

my trim is all on but has leaks and some on my hatch is popping up a bit...causing noise on the highway and to me an aggravating imperfection... the other side is fine but one just sticks up a bit and feels loose... BLAH!
