hello, i was just trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with my passenger side window, if it is either the window motor or the window switch.... what happens is.. like 99% of the time it wont roll down when you hit the button( same thing happens if you try it on either driver or passenger side) but if you keep hitting the button over and over it will roll down like an inch, then you have to do the same thing to get it to roll back up. so if anyone knows what exactly the problem is.. any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

My friend's mother's Altima does this, and it's the switch...
the last time he rolled it down it stopped working totally.
We pulled off the door panel and put power directly to the motor and it went up.
But, that's the driver's door, so there's only one switch involved...

I would say one of your switches is bad. Find someone near you with a Supra and try their window switches out. Whichever one fixes the problem, keep it. lol

It's either that, or bad contacts on the motor plug itself.

The switch contact is made of copper, that tends to oxidize after some time, just clean it with some sand paper and it will work, worked for me.

yes, check the contacts, it's pretty easy. :) a bit of contact cleaner and/or a light scuffing with some sandpaper should cure your problem.

also, thread moved:)
