Alright this has probally been asked a million times.
When it comes time to updgrade my fuel system with 550cc injectors, walbro 255 and a lexus AFM. Will i need to put in a SAFC? This helps tune right would it be a good idea to do one of these as well?

My mods will be 3inch full exhaust including elbow. 2.5 intercooler pipes.. mhg with arp studs torqued to like 82lbs...

Need? no. You will just be running ~9:1 AFR under boost and hit fuel cut real early.

Having a SAFC means you will be able to pull fuel out when in open loop mode and this will keep you further away from the edge of the map. Then you can turn up the boost and make many more ponies.

Need? I guess that's up to the wallet holder.

it's all about wait reduction!! start taking things off. my friend got his mk3 into the mid to low 13's with a mostly stock motor and turbo by taking out all the unessecsary weight. and a safc is a great way to get the maximum power out of your set up. ask for one for x-mas or something.

you dont need the walbro, stock is fine. Most use a wideband o2 with the safc for tuning..sometimes you can borrow one to setup. Use the walbro money on the safc or else get the Reggie screw like others have before us...

Couldn't be more wrong.

this would only make him run more rich.

I could add as well that JBLMK3 does not use 550s or an SAFC. Only the Lex AFM and FPR to tune with and his A/F curves are very very flat. But unless you know very very well what you are doing I do not reccomend running stock injectors.
