Wastegate dump is AFTER the o2 sensor, and manifold crack is before? :dunno:

No, IJ is right again. A DDP dumps the wastegate to the atmosphere, which is normally part of the turbo elbow.

Ok, the answer to this is yes and no. If you have cracks around your wastegate flapper, you are by no means unique, most of the people here do as well, with no ill effects in 99.9% of the cases.

This will affect your longevity eventually... however, in most cases, you're going to kill the rest of the car before those cracks become a problem. If you still have the car in 10 years, you should likely start to worry about them.
