Will a 1987 engine be compatible to a 1991

Hi wondering if a 87 7mgte be compatible to a 1991 7mgte car? Do I need to adapt or replace anything to make it work?

you just need to use the harness and ecu for the year of your car. 87-88 Turbo harness (yellow plug) 89-92 (Grey plugged) Same thing for the ecu's 87-88 is yellow plugged and the 89-92 is grey as well.
