ok after searching and getting no response from the "other" forum....

have a meet coming up this weekend brought the car into the shop, and it so far has stumped a master tech 2 days lol.

here is the main prob since the heat soak is another thing:

when the car starts cold, sometimes I am running on 5 cycl. for about 5 seconds then #6 "catches" and the car runs fine (can been seen with vac/boost gauge).

I pulled the spark plug and its kinda rusty colored is the best way to decribe it, not wet or anything (thank god). This only happens on number six and made the plug look like this after a week (copper ngk's gapped to .32).

Compression compared to #1 was pretty near equal (was easiest to take off so thats why I did those 2).

any ideas? Im thinking maybe a cps pickup, but I will print out suggestions and bring it to them so i can get this back up and running for this weekend

thanks

lol ya thought about that too, it says between the low and high on the res. hm... injectors are an idea, might also be causing the heat soaking too

thanks keep the ideas coming

#6 is where the common BHG happens, but 9x outa 10, the combustion pressure over pressurizes the coolant, and you get water going to the bottle.

But rusty looking sparkplug is strange. how do other plugs look??
