So recentley i have had this chugging problem seems to happen when i drive at a consistant throttle postion.

Same feeling comes through full throttle pulls

The car just hesitates and starts jerking until i left off or back off throttle. '

Like a cloged fuel filter or something. (although i hear they last for ever)

I got codes 24-41 and i do hit fuel cut in 2nd every now and then if i dont let of gas while shifting results in code 34.

No engine light stays on just stored.

Mods are

Driftmtion Intercooler
Intake filter
3inch catless exhaust elbow back

^ that would not matter.

24 is intake air temp. Which is the afm.

41 is tps signal.

tps is prolly the problem your mainly concered about. the 24 is prolly the reason your hitting fuel cut in 2nd.

mine did this when i first got it
1st 20 minutes of highway driving was fine
after 20 minutes it would chug and almost feel like a mis fire
but it would only act up when driving and not idling
also when the temp would change it would get worse

replaced afm and it took care of it

test your afm

im running a colder plug bkr7e...on stock boost with same mods and have no driveability issues

Spark plugs are not going to cause that, Thye would cause a mis or if the plugs were gapped wrong the boost would blow out the spark in boost.

Id fix the tps and try a different afm.

For plugs id use the bk7res ngk v power coppers., There like 1.69 from rock auto and gap them to .028.

ok will do.

It does feel a bit like a mis fire.

Im not sure why its throwing 41 TPS adjusted to spec.. It does have this code stored like i said be for my check engine light only comes on when i hit fuel cut.

I do not have a OHM/Volt meter guess i should go get one.

Can always clear the codes and re drive to make sure your getting the right codes.

If they both come back id replace both. Tps can go out just in the blink of an eye. Mine decieded it was time to go out when i started my car after a hg. Why it just did.

If the plugs havnt been replaced ina while id replace them and gap them to the proper spec.

Plugs its been about 4-5k miles um about 4months time

Would the TPS throw code 51 if it went out? or not always?

But thankyou so much for the help I really do appreciate it. I will try and locate a AFM and TPS.

I might just find me some 550's and go with the lexus.

My car is a Grey plug 89 So it wont matter then should run the same..

Why do you think yellow plug mk3's run better with early style AFM's?

Idk just for some reason i have seen buddys cars do better with them. Strangly odd but it could have been just a bad later one. I wasnt doing the work.

Not always. Tps has 2 codes. 51 is the idle circuit in the tps or a nsw switch problem or a/c. 41 is tps only and anything but idl.

So the plugs i need are NGK V Power Coppers (BK7RE)? or is it BK7RES?

We do not have Rock Auto here in Tucson so i have to go to checker or autozone.

Rock auto is online and delivers. There also a vendor here and have a discount code in there section.

I forget which one fo those stores carries ngk.

bk7res p.n should be 4644
