I have found that reducers are generally more expensive than straight ones.

Have you tried EBAy??

ATP is a good place as well.

You can always get them for 1/3 the price at home depot. But you will end up buying a new one every month. So, go ahead and get the exspensive real stuff, you'll be glad you did. Make sure you get the multiply ply You can also get them from hightempsilicone.com... :bigthumb:

the ones from home depot wont hold up to 9 psi?

They got hot from underhood heat and if they are near the turbo at all they can melt. Spend the cash and get 3 or 5 ply silicone couplers from ATP.com or Hightempsilicone.com. Get some tbolt clamps while your at it.

Once you've been browsing forums for a few years you tend to just not care anymore. With that said, it still bothers the shit out of me :(

as for the thread creator...
if you dont want to spend a hundred bucks on 9psi,
wait till you want to run 25psi.

holy shit yes. i made the mistake of telling them to "just order it, i need it" on an intercooler hose. turns out that the one lower hose that clamps to the IC is something more than $100... and it's nearly straight.. last time i ever do that. lol

I been known that even when you work for toyota you dont get much of a disscount And i know im not gonna boost any more because I sick of this car I just want it to a certain point to where i can be done with it. i did the engine and tranny swap and a rebuild the car is on my nerves. once the IC pipes are done and I fix the nic nac stuff Ima paint it and hopefulyy be able to relax and enjoy the car for a lil bit.

whatever you plan for you'll always want more. being that i realized that i figured put the 7m-gte into the 85 paint it make it run and look nice there has to be a stopping point or it will be a car i will never get near the amount that i put in it. (incase of a car accident or just wanting to sell it)

yes the convo is getting way off topic i apologize. It looks like I will be using Silicone couplers thanks for the info
