Who's got the best write-up on a 5spd trans removal ????

I'm pulling out my first supra trans (87 turbo 5speed) and the last couple of bolts are really getting me pissed does anybody have any good diagrams or writeups on pulling it seems almost like the engine has to come out and I don't want to do that thanks alot

there are ten bolts you gotta remove around the bellhousing.. 2 of them are on the starter...

you gotta take out the clutch fork, unhook all hydraulic and electric lines, unhook the driveshaft and unbolt the rear monunt and then pull and shake.

TSRM. I've got a leak so I'll be performing one myself in the near future. By no means is it easy but with a friend it's definatly not hard. on a related note Can the RMS be removed w/o removing the oil pan? I'm used to looking at it on a stand so I can't remember.

Yep, TSRM is your friend. I did it my first time in January and it wasn't too bad. Extensions are your friend and I jacked up the front of the motor to get to the started bolts and the top two trans bolts.
