I've driven one...they might look cool, but they're fat, and slow...2.8litre US emissions crippled V6 out of a Renault 25, Brakes from a 1970's Ford Cortina, constant electrical problems, the torsion bar holding up the doors was a CONSTANT pain in the arse.....if you buy one for the $25,000 asking price, dump in a small block ford engine...

A friend of mine has a delorean and he had "88 MPH" on it. He is a co-owner if a family budweiser distribution place. So, he had money. But, that thing was slow as dirt.

liked the lines of it

one dosen't have to squint too hard at my scirocco front end to see similarities

YEAH!! i totally have been thinking that too! are there any stories behind the similarities?

how do you like your VW? i wanted one until i learned they're FWD....not my thing.

but yeah i saw one sitting in a parking lot once, and another one painted red that got pulled over by a cop a long time ago.

the one i saw parked a few years ago looked amazing. it doesnt matter if its slow, its just cool. and i agree...engine swap for sure.... unless you're going for perfect and stock... but if anything i'd make it a back to the future replica....maybe.

they do look awesome.....
