YES I know they are corny and most likely not even better then stock in most case. I do not have them since I am retrofitting TSX projectors with H7 4300K hids on mine BUT I was wondering who has those ebay "projector" headlights on their cars? Can you post pics? I just want to see how "good" they are compare to stock. Yes I know they are not good already, I just want to see pics of them because I search the forum and no one seems to have them.

FAIL LIGHT they put light everywhere. Don't do it. Spend money on a real housing. This is a personal experience too. I just threw them out since they were worthless.

They scatter light everywhere, look like complete rice and throw worse light than the shittiest stock headlight.

You get EXACTLY what you pay for in headlights. (I know, I've got over $1,300 invested in headlights on the hardtop MKIV...).

:thumbsdow Absolutely worthless pos light. As SC says light goes everywhere except where you want it to. Sylvanias currently in now and those crapy lights are probably rotting in a junkyard by now:biglaugh:

European Glass headlight housings (not the crappy US plastic ones) with in cab remote control leveling, retrofit projectors and Phillips HID ballast with xenon 4800K bulbs in all the headlight & fog lights.

(Yes, 4800K - the white ones, not those goofy blue or purple things - these throw real usable light...)

There are 4 ways to deal with headlights:
  1. Leave them alone.
  2. Do the riceboy upgrade like those crap $5 things listed at the top of this thread.
  3. Do a half-assed HID upgrade and blind everyone else on the road.
  4. Do a real HID retrofit upgrade, spend the cash and do it right. You wind up with a proper beam pattern and damn can you see well at night.

I chose #4, looks like daylight when I turn the lights on. ;)

I did my own retrofit in my old 00' Accord. I used the 1st gen TSX projectors and colormodded them with washers, Nissan ballasts with integrated ignitors, and Philips 85022 4300K Bulbs. It took me some time to make it perfect, but I loved them sooo much. Then I was running low on cash and had to sell them.

Like SC said, if you don't have factory HIDs, a real retrofit is the best way to go.

Option #3 pisses me off to no end. And the people who buy them think they are awesome. I bought some Sylvania Silverstars as a stop gap solution until I find a kit I like. They are better than what was in there when I bought the car and didn't break the bank.

Yep people who take a d2s bulb and glue it into their factory housing. My friend did that on his mustang. Looked like ass cause it threw light EVERYWHERE. I tried to convince him to buy a true HID kit make for his car, but the 130-180 dollars for the proper ones with the right sheilds didn't "make sense" to him. Moron.

The kits I do GB's for have all the proper shields, and with the right housings (read: Hella) you will have proper cutoff's so you dont blind people.
Even my h4 kit one bulbs have the right sheild so you dont blind people, I run those on the Lincoln since thier is no room behind the headlight for the motor that kit 2 has.

with the proper headlight your cutoff will look like this
