In the UK, theres a programme on BBC1 that traces the family lines of various people in the public eye, from celebrities to politicians, and this weeks was Jerry Springers turn.

So, what did those of you who watched it, reckon?

I watched it. That show looks to be very entertaining.

For me, it seems like it happened in a different time. But it really wasn't that long ago. Its hard to really fathom the extent that people can be brainwashed to. Like they said, it wasn't just hitler or his people that were turned evil, it was all the way down to the normal citizens.

What I always fail to understand when I think about the holocaust is what was all the hate based on? Just that they are different? I know that Jews have been persecuted and oppressed throughout all history and by lots of different groups, but what is the root of it all? That they killed Jesus? All political correctness aside, is it the stereotypical stuff that they were disliked for? Such as being good business people and holding valuable positions in societies? Is it because they are a religion and a race that outsiders cant really get into?

I hope this isn't a touchy subject, its not meant to strike up any debate. I just don't see where all the hate comes from. Maybe I just need to go take a history class. :biglaugh:
