I am no electronic wizard and will be the first to admit it. I may need a plug and play harness for an AEM EMS that only uses the bare minimum on a race only 7m. Anyone know who would be able to put one together without the car present?

All I will be using is 12 power, injectors, cps, ignitor, MAP, IAT, So I may be buying a race AEM unit and not a plug and play unit. Brand new Toyota wire harnesses are getting hard to find.

I would just use the P&P unit.. or is there any advantage of the race unit?

If you want to slim down the harness just have someone or im sure you can do it, go through it and strip the wires that you wont need, leaving the essentials like you listed, and a few extra for inputs/outputs you might want in the future.

Just priced lower. Most older factory harnesses will not work well enough for a plug and play unit. To use a plug and play unit, I would have to buy a new or really nice used harness, because the one I have in Underdog now is fubar.

Where in Ohio are you? Flying lead harnesses aren't that difficult.

Qwikstrike - it would have been about the same work for you to retype that w/out caps.

I can build you a custom harness, fully sleeved with Raychem and the connectors you specify. I would need to know what ECU you are planning to run, what sensors/injectors you want, and the exact length YOU want from the ECU to each of the components in the engine bay. All you will need to do is lay the harness into the car, hook up a couple power and ground wires, and you will be ready to go. The end product will only be as good as the dimensions you give me, because I will build it to your specification. A good way to do this is use string, along some slack, and take measurements. You can draw it all out on paper. That when when I "Y" stuff out (for each injector for example), I know how long to make each leg from the main loom. Let me know if you have any other questions! Duane has one of the harnesses like you are wanting, and he is a picky bugger. :)

I made my entire megasquirt harness. Totally new engine bay harness. Such a pain in the ass and so time consuming to make it clean! But worth it in the end. Like Duane said there are professionals who do it and make it worth it for sure!
