Whining Turbo Question

What is this turbo Whining that is dreaded by everyone sound like? I upgraded my Blowoff valve and the next day I hear a small high pitch. I thought I had to adjust my blowoff valve and it would go away. I have yet to adjust it because I have not driven my car since this weekend, but I read on here yesterday about a whining from the turbo went its on its way out. So I ask the question. what does that whining of the turbo sound like? :cry: :cry: :cry:

Okay good thats not what mine is. Mine is more like whistle and I hear when I let off the gas.

Yeah, aftermarket bovs make a lot of noise when you let off

Actually the "Purpose" of an aftermarket valve is to protect your turbo, and not leak boost.

LOL, Yes I know, but the sounds I'm hearing is not the swishing noise. Its a long whistle that comes after.

WHat kind of valve do you have? That sounds like the greddy Type S.

Ah, Haven't heard that one yet. The greddys sound like a little bird when you get to about zero vaccum and let off, it's normal, it's what they do.
