I am new to the Supra scene, but a regular to the Mustang scene. I know that in the Mustang world there are lots of very good sites online to shop for parts wether be oem or performance. Some are ranked for their prices, and some are better knowns for their customer service.

I have found quite a few online sites for the MK iii, but I dont know enough to shop yet. I would like to order my studs, gasket, downpipe, and even a new intake but I wanted some light as to what the good shops are. Prices are one thing, but getting a part as indicated with great customer service is worth a few more bucks in my opinion.

Who do yall use, and who do you recomend?

Thanks!
Alex

suprasport.com is awesome, as is horsepowerfreaks.com. I think suprasport has a little faster shipping and more supra parts in stock, but they are both awesome.

i dont know about any links, but it has been a rollercoaster for me when i bought stuff. my intake was sent to the wrong address. my exhaust came a month late, to the wrong address. my downpipe actually came before they said it would, but to the wrong address. and my high flow cat still has not come in, but i bitched them out enough by now.. it should come at least to the right address.

i did get my cam gears, timing belt, and clear corners fine though.

I deal with HPF mainly. It's a little slow as I'm located in Canada, but when I eventually get my parts and pay the rediculous duty's on them, everything turns out well. I also delt with Suprastore once, I ordered the HKS super dragger and it was promptly delivered in about 3-4 days, everything was perfect, Iwas super happy with them, so it's really a case-by-case result as some people hate, some love.

MVP = amazing always very reliable for me and good over the phone
Horsepower freaks = amazing, they will actually call you if something is out of stock.
SupraSport = slow, but will eventually get your part

If your a Mustang guy, you've likely heard of Flatlander? If so, please don't use them on any Supra parts. They have about the lowest prices, but the customer service is so poor, and the attitude that Phil (Who appears to own, or at least run the place) displays is abrasive and rude at best.

In my case, I bought a stroker motor and a seperate set of ROSS pistons for another motor, gasket kit and other parts from Flatlander. They screwed up the stroker motor completely. I also ordered the motor in April, and only got my parts in October after asking them to cancel the short block, and just send me the parts. After the parts arrived, I found the piston pins were the wrong size for the custom rods. (Totally screw up on the part of Flatlander/Phil.) They refused to pay to have them re-bushed so I could get the motor together, and I ended up missing Vegas last year due to the delays as a result.
When I had problems with the motor less than 300 miles into running it, and went back over the bills with my wife who does the books, I discovered that Flatlander had overcharged me about 2100.00 MORE than they should have. When I asked Phil about this, he told me I was wrong, and that he did not have time to look this up as he had a business to run...
It was only when I contested the charges with the credit card company. (Lucky for me, they were willing to do this even after the normal period they will dispute charges, mainly because I kept good reccords, and partly because I spend about 100k a year on this card for business expenses and travel.)
In the end, I won the arguement, and will never, ever use Flatlander or Import Auto Parts (Part of Flatlander) again.

I reccomend you don't either.

Places I've bought parts from: SP Engineering, Horsepowerfreaks, Suprastore.com, Suprasport.com and Options Auto Salon, as far as online dealers go.

Places I recommend shopping at (with a few brief comments):

SP Engineering-I deal with Hugh, who has hooked me up on some prices and shipping. Very good service, great price-beating. Their supply of MKIII parts is lacking, however.

935 Motorsports-I am yet to purchase anything from Robert, the owner, but I'll be buying my new brake setup from him pretty soon. Great prices, great selection of MKIII parts, including many you won't find anywhere else. A great contributor to the MKIII aftermarket.

Horsepowerfreaks-I've dealt with Ron, who provided me with great service, and even upgraded my shipping to next day, from second day, for free. The item I ordered wasn't currently in stock, but I still ended up receiving it within a week. Great selection of MKIII parts, including some rare ones. Not the greatest prices-as advertised, but I'm sure they'll beat any price out there.

BecauseIcan Performance-I have not yet bought anything from Randy, the owner, but I surely will down the road. Excellent fabricator of fine-quality, exclusive parts. Very good pricing, as well.
